Prof. Arvind Mithal
Deeply saddened to announce the passing of Prof. Arvind Mithal(BT/EE/1969), a distinguished alumnus of IIT Kanpur and a revered MIT professor. Known for his pioneering contributions to computer science, he was a cherished mentor, colleague, and friend, celebrated for his wisdom and kindness.

Prof. Sameer Khandekar
With profound grief and sorrow, we regret to inform the demise of our alumnus Prof. Sameer Khandekar(MT/ME/2000). A highly dynamic and enthusiastic person, Prof. Khandekar was not just an excellent faculty, but also deeply into music, art, and culture, which led him to establish APPROACH Cell at IITK. He believed in inclusivity and right to education for every child as he dedicatedly devoted much of his time at Shiksha Sopan, providing education to many underprivileged children in the most creative ways. May God give strength to his family and friends to bear this untimely and sudden loss. May his soul rest in peace.
Mr. Venkateswaran Srinivasan
With profound grief, we announce the untimely demise of Mr. Venkateswaran Srinivasan (BT/EE/1990), affectionately known as Venky. He departed in Chennai on 24th Nov 2023, while passionately teaching students, fulfilling his true calling.
Venky, an alumnus with an MS from UMass Lowell, MA USA, contributed significantly to Midas Communications, Amazon India, and RISE Institute, Chennai. A noble soul with a spiritual inclination, he lived a selfless life, epitomizing kindness. In a final act of generosity, Venky chose to donate his body for medical research. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May God give them strength during this difficult time.
