1. Program Manager

The Program Manager will play a pivotal role in organizing, coordinating, and overseeing programs and activities aligned with the organization’s strategic direction. This position demands to devise new programs, manage long-term goals, and develop and manage budgets as well as operational plans for these programs. Another vital responsibility will be to liaise transparently and effectively with various stakeholders such as Board Members, Institute Officials, Staff, 3rd Party Service Providers, and relevant Alumni. Supervisory Responsibility: Yes. The Program Manager will lead the Administrative Team, and shall be reporting manager of the members of the Administrative Team. The Program Manager will report to the Board of Directors of AA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Organize programs and activities in line with the organization’s mission and objectives.
  2. Develop innovative programs that align with the strategic direction of the organization.
  3. Craft and manage long-term goals for the sustainable success of the organization.
  4. Develop comprehensive budget and operational plans for program execution. Manage P&L of AA, and bring additional lines of revenue for AA.
  5. Establish an evaluation methodology to assess program strengths and areas for improvement.
  6. Write program funding proposals to ensure a steady continuity of services.
  7. Lead a diverse team guiding their talents and responsibilities towards goal fulfillment.
  8. Implement and manage changes when necessary to ensure project goals are met.
  9. Facilitate transparent and effective communication with stakeholders concerning project issues and decisions.
  10. Deliver accurate and timely reports of program status throughout its lifecycle.
  11. Foresee and analyse any possible risks to the program.
  12. Set KPIs, goals for AA Administrative Team, monitor and report performance to Board

Required Skills and Abilities:

  4. Proficient in using computers for various tasks, particularly in Microsoft applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education and Experience:

  1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or a related field.
  2. Proven practical experience in a program management role for at least 8 years.

2. Marketing and Sponsorship Manager

The Marketing and Sponsorship Manager is responsible for securing sponsorships for events and conducting marketing activities. This role involves executing sponsorship tactics, managing relationships with sponsors, both existing and potential, and initiating marketing strategies. The manager is also accountable for raising sponsorship for various activities, maintaining relations with sponsors/customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Secure sponsorships for the IIT Kanpur Alumni Association’s activities and events by partnering with relevant brands
  2. Showcase the work of the association on various online platforms
  3. Maintain relationships with customers by organizing and developing specific customer-relations programs and determining the association’s presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars
  4. Provide short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data
  5. Maintain a research database by identifying and assembling marketing information
  6. Provide marketing information by answering questions and requests
  7. Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions

Required Skills and Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or a related field
  2. Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry, preferably minimum of two years of experience in acquiring sponsorships

3. Events Coordinator

We are seeking a competent and driven Events Coordinator to skilfully organize remarkable and memorable events. The ideal candidate will be in charge of all aspects of event preparations, including venue selection, menu approval, seating plan development, and subsequent evaluation of success. As an Event Coordinator, having excellent organizational skills and profound knowledge of vendor management is crucial.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Identify the client’s requirements and expectations for each event.
  2. Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure order.
  3. Manage all event set-up, break-down, and post-event processes.
  4. Maintain and adhere to event budgets.
  5. Arrange venues, entertainers, photographers, and speaker schedules.
  6. Perform final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the client’s standards.
  7. Evaluate an event’s overall success and compile a detailed report.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or public relations is preferred.
  2. Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in an Event Coordinator role, demonstrating the effective organization of diverse events.
